MedXM Improves Success in Prevention Initiatives with Ride Sharing Partnership

Santa Ana, CA, — May 24, 2017 — Mobile Medical Examination Inc. “MedXM,” a national leader in the design and implementation of preventive care technology and in-home health risk assessments, announced today their partnership with ride-sharing service Lyft. This partnership will remove transportation as an obstacle to receiving appropriate and timely preventive care.

By embracing high-tech innovations to predict and prevent, MedXM’s visits are designed to empower patients to address their healthcare needs, improve health care literacy and proactively engage them in their own care.

This partnership will help strengthen MedXM’s mission to provide exceptional member service and quality health visits across the nation for the purpose of care management, education, prevention, and early detection.

The new MedXM/Lyft partnership will allow members the ability to access healthcare transportation needs via an app, online, or toll free service for the following requirements:

● Transport health plan members to and from health assessment appointments
● Offer non-emergency transportation to urgent care or primary care physician offices
● Contribute to further follow up doctor visits by facilitating rides to and from appointments

Access to transportation, for the purpose of healthcare, plays a critical role in the lives of the patients MedXM encounters every day. Of seniors (65+) who no longer drive, the risk of poor health outcomes is significant. In fact, data shows of those 65+ who do not have access to transportation, 15% take fewer trips to the doctor. Providing health plan members a safe transportation alternative will help improve success in MedXM’s prevention initiatives including health risk assessments, follow-up appointments to said health assessments, and various health screenings.
